The PR 1400 Dicut Oxic wheel represents the ultimate in aluminum wheel, it has an Oxic carbon surface coating recognized for its exceptional quality, this process allows to obtain a matte black finish. quality, which also guarantees maximum braking performance while minimizing rim wear.



Benefits of the Oxic coating:
  • Excellent and consistent braking performance in all conditions.
  • Unlike conventional aluminum wheels, which degrade due to the abrasive action of the brake pads and particles extracted from the roads, the OXiC flanks are so hard that the rim remains intact throughout the normal life of a wheel. The brake pad is the only tire that is subject to wear (DT Swiss delivers all OXiC wheels with special brake pads).
  • Since the ceramic layer is deposited by a conversion type coating process, the OXiC coating may form with the rim without its excellent properties being altered, including when subjected to heavy mechanical loads (conventional chemical coatings tend to crack when subjected to mechanical stresses).
  • The OXiC coating process uses neither volatile organic compounds nor heavy metals, which makes it a very environmentally friendly technology.
  • Black rims, always black: The OXiC coatings do not contain any ink or dye, they are completely UV stable and do not lose their color or shine under the effect of the sun.

DICUT TECHNOLOGY
The range of RRC DICUT wheels is a perfect compromise between ro-dynamics, technology and design. Their aggressive aspect is a good motivation to climb. DICUT hubs allow for very balanced tension thanks to optimized flange geometry and straight-pull shelving. In descent, high modulus carbon rims can be released, the layers of which are bound by a high temperature specific resin. Special fiber layers, capable of reducing heat, are also integrated into the braking surfaces and further increase the resistance.


OXIC - BRAKE SURFACE R SISTANT WEAR
The OXiC process involves electrochemically coating a rim with a ceramic coating that makes the surface extremely hard and wear resistant. This process achieves a high-quality matte black finish that also ensures maximum braking performance while minimizing rim wear.


TUBELESS TECHNOLOGY
DT Swiss tubeless ready rims offer other advantages over conventional wheels. The specific design of their section allows easy placement of the tire during inflation and, most of the time, all you will need is a standard foot pump. The DT Swiss rims tire profile guarantees a precise seat for the tire, even if it is not.
