The difference is obvious in the wind tunnel test which reveals that the Synthe is almost as effective as the fastest time trial helmets. But the biggest attributes of the Synthe are comfort and ventilation.
Micro adjustments allow you to adjust the height and front to back with one hand.
A patented design suspends the helmet on top of the head and allows air to pass freely over your head.

A NEW DIMENSION IN HEAD PROTECTION

Extensive research has established that helmets equipped with the MIPS® system reduce the risk of shock transferred to the brain during an angular impact. Below are three images showing the levels of pressure experienced in the brain during angular impact. They show the results of tests without a helmet, with a helmet not equipped with the MIPS system, and with a helmet equipped with the MIPS.® system. All three are the result of one and the same speed and one and the same angle of impact, but each has a very different outcome: the more red there is, the more rotational violence transmitted to the brain.
