The Shimano GRX RX815 controls have a design designed for gravel practice, with a 18mm high pivot pin, a curved profile lever and an anti-slip coating for a better grip on accident lands.

One of the primary concerns of gravel practitioners is braking power. That's why at the top of the GRX range, there are the RX800 (ST-RX815) controllers featuring Servo Wave technology used on Shimano ATV brakes. This results in more powerful braking due to the setting of the wafer attack.
